Live Oak Chicken Farm is part project fancy chicken farm and part laying hen stock farm. We focus our time in creating cross exotic chicken breeds with some very sophisticated donors if you know what I mean. While our special breeds are getting busy on one small part of the farm, our egg layers are making more high production hybrids for laying hens. Most of our egg layers sold at 5 - 6 months lay around 250 eggs a year. We have colored eggs, and your basic brown and white eggs.
Back to the fancy pants chickens. We currently have a sizable stock of fancy exotic chickens either for show or pets. They are friendly, colorful, and have a lot of personality. Chickenality? Maybe spell check needs to add that word. Our breeding stock of fancy chickens is made of all colors of Silkies, polish, and a dash of frizzles here and there.
